Training for an athletic event or sport takes hard work and dedication, but hard work isn't enough........

If you train hard, but don't understand what your real needs and deficiencies are, you'll never get ahead. 

Different sports require different skill sets, and training the same as someone else who plays a different sport won't get you there, even if they seem to be bigger, stronger, and faster than you. (Especially if you copy the pros, they are genetic freaks that can get away with things most can't). 

There's tons of programs out there that say they will increase your vertical jump a ridiculous 12 inches in 3 months or that you will be able to put on 40lbs in the bench inside of a few weeks.

I could go on and on with this crap, but the point is, THEY DON'T KNOW YOU! 

We all have specific limitations that explain why we aren't achieving at our highest level.

​For example, there are programs that say it's sport-specific for baseball, but give everyone the same exact program, regardless of their position or actual abilities. 


If you excel in one area, and your "sport-specific" training program only works on that same area, you won't get anywhere. That's like saying you have to reinforce an already reinforced bank vault.
