I don't know if it's just me, but you probably hear the words "It's probably the rotator cuff" quite often whenever you have shoulder pain. 

It's cringing to hear someone say that they have a torn rotator cuff. The reason is because it's just a crutch of an answer that even doctors use to explain someone's shoulder pain. 

The rotator cuff gets victimized in this day and age and the solutions to solving the issue are VERY outdated.
